Chef Designs Chef Hat

The traditional pleated chef hat, standing on its own band, adjusting at the back with hook-and-loop so one hat covers a shared shift. It is the visible piece of hair restraint, which is what a hat in a kitchen is for before it is anything else.

White or black, one size. The white one is the pass and open-kitchen hat; the black is bought where the rest of the uniform is dark. If you work under an extraction hood, the skull cap sits closer and catches on nothing.
