The check earns its place by doing one job better than plain cloth: it breaks up a mark. Both check pants here are the same 65/35 poly-cotton twill as the rest of the range, wrinkle resistant and built for a commercial wash, and the choice between them is the waist again. The baggy pant gathers on a full elastic waist with a drawstring and is sized in letters; the cook pant sits on a side elastic with no front closure and is sized waist by inseam. If the pants are seen by guests, the cook pant is the tidier line; if the kitchen runs hot, the baggy pant moves more air.
