Chef Designs Cook Pant

A cook pant with a side-elastic waistband and no button at the front. That is a working decision rather than a styling one: nothing catches on a rack handle, nothing digs in when you bend into a low oven, and the front lies flat under an apron. There are four pockets, two slack-style at the front and two patch pockets at the hip, in a wrinkle-resistant 65/35 poly-cotton twill.

It is sold waist by inseam, from 28x30 up to 54x34, so you buy a pair of numbers instead of guessing at a letter. White, black and the black-and-white check. One cook who keeps four pairs writes that they do not fade and come out of a dryer smooth, which is the whole argument for the cloth.
