Chef Designs Eight Knot Button Chef Coat

The knot-button coat closes with eight tied buttons instead of moulded ones, on a double-breasted reversible front, so the coat can be turned and worn with the clean side showing. It is pre-shrunk, with a stand-up collar, vented clean-finished cuffs, a chest pocket and a thermometer pocket on the left sleeve.

The trade-off is well known and worth stating: a knot button survives being pressed flat where a moulded one can crack, and a commercial dryer eventually works one loose. Kitchens that order these keep a card of spares in the office. Sizes here are S, L, XL and 2XL, a shorter run than the pearl-button coats.
